Boeing Cortex, St. Louis

It isn't every day we are asked to find an office fixture that looks like a flying saucer, but when asked, ELD delivers! Lighting design and construction for this space-age-themed office were completed in just over 8 months. Guests step into the reception area beneath a liquid-metallic ceiling, and walk up to an airplane engine-turned reception desk. A custom glowing tube hovers around a floating airplane wing to illuminate the board room. Sliding doors glow inside and out and open to reveal a multipurpose space with ultimate flexibility - individually addressable fixtures and glowing lines of light incorporated into the room's large columns provide interesting illumination. This HOK-designed space is colorful and exciting to inspire the NeXt creative ideas from the Boeing team.
