Lisa J. Reed, PE, IALD, MIES, LEED AP BD+COur Founding Principal, Lisa J. Reed, is an award-winning lighting designer with 27 years of experience in energy management, electrical engineering, education, lighting sales, and lighting design. This multi-disciplinary background makes her uniquely experienced as a communication-bridge on project teams. She is an active committee member in multiple lighting organizations, SMPS, and the US Green Building Council - MO Gateway Chapter. As a thought leader in the lighting industry, she regularly lectures, teaches, and speaks on lighting for local and international audiences. She sits on the advisory board of the LED Specifier Summit, helped found Ladies of Lighting in St. Louis, helped expand WILD (Women in Lighting + Design) across the USA, and is a passionate advocate for diversity in the industry. She couldn't do all of this without the support of her husband, two nearly-grown sons, and her big, slobbery black-lab-mix-pup!

Liz Arras, MIES, LCLiz Arras brought loads of high-caliber project experience with her when she came to ELD as a Project Manager. Her education and past experience are diverse, including projects such as Tesuque Casino (Santa Fe, NM), Martin Luther King Memorial (Washington D.C), and Kiener Plaza (St Louis, MO). She is LC (lighting certified) and is a graduate of the prestigious University of Kansas architectural engineering program. Liz has an eye for design and applies it to her whole life. When she isn't running lighting projects, she spends her energy making ice cream, attending PTO meetings, planning family birthday parties, helping the women’s group at church, and orchestrating themed stay-at-home family dinner events with her husband and three children.

Dominick EhlingDominick Ehling is a born and bred problem solver. Give him a problem, and he will figure out three solutions! As an ELD Lighting Designer, he solves lighting problems every day. His Washington University degree in Drama with a minor in Architecture gives him a foundation in the theatrical, and a great baseline knowledge of lighting controls which many lighting designers lack. With LED technology, lighting and controls are integral, and Dominick's understanding of both is indispensable. Apparently, he just can't get enough of the problem-solving at work, so he spends his off-hours creating and solving problems around his house or designing and running shows for stage productions.

Kathleen Hamilton, MIES, LCKathleen has a fabulous background including an internship in Paris and a year of study toward a Master of Fine Arts in Lighting Design at Parsons School of Design. When she came to ELD as a Senior Designer, she found a place where she could balance motherhood with her passion for lighting. Her insights are valuable to our team and to your project. She can visualize, communicate, and illustrate complex lighting concepts in a way that makes them easy to understand. Her many lighting design awards are evidence of her talent. In her free time, she volunteers in her community as a Girl Scout troop leader, fundraiser for the volunteer fire department, and musician at church.
